When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean living," I'm whispering" I was lost... I'm found and forgiven"

When I say... "I'm a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble often and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I'm a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I am weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say... "I'm a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed aContinue

What Is High Blood Cholesterol and why is it considered to be bad?

Cholesterol levels are determined through chemical analysis of a blood sample taken from a finger prick or from a vein in the arm. Home cholesterol kits test only for total cholesterol levels but are as accurate as tests done in a doctor's office, says Steven Gutman, M.D., director of FDA's division of clinical laboratory devices. Transforming the World & Society: Creating Communities Where ALL Children Are Valued & Provided With Enhanced and Enriching Opportunities to Thrive!

Hello-Thank you for visiting our TTTC Ning Profile !!!

My name is Marilyn Magallanes, I am the founder of Teach Them to Care ( TTTC ), and I want to personally welcome you to our Ning profile page. I trust you will enjoy learning about us...

I look forward to getting to know more about you as well and to communicating with you. Should you have any questions about TTTC or want to help TTTC please do not hesitate to contact me.

Our Positions at TTTC:

1.) That Generational Poverty is Not a Choice.

2.) Every child, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, orientation, nationality, disability, or capability should have someone who TRULY CARES.

3.) TTTC stands firmly on the belief that everyone deserves an equal chance to participate more fully in life. Teach Them to CARE seeks to work with donors, public and private partners to reduce inequities by expanding enhanced and enriching opportunities for those with great and or special needs.

4.) The often-used saying that "Charity begins at home" holds great truth. However, if we want better communities for our children to grow up in, then we must, as a community and a society teach our children also to care about community issues and involvement.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Teach Them to Care is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization founded for the purpose of serving the underprivileged and enhancing opportunities available to low income families and children who have access to significantly fewer advantages in life due to economic barriers as well as those individuals that experience hardship due to a disability.

Teach Them To Care "officially" incorporated on January 01, 2007. TTTC is classified as a Public Charity by the Internal Revenue Service and has been awarded exemption status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Contributions to Teach Them To Care are deductible under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. We are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Sections 2055, 2106, or 2522 of the Code.

Contributions to TTTC will be used to assist families that fall into the invisible class of the "working" poor in 'Breaking the Cycle' as well as disadvantaged children, lending a hand-up and lending encouragement to their families and caregivers.

Middle Tennessee Idealist Network

Hello Nashville Idealist!

My name is Marilyn Magallanes and I am a huge believer in Networking to help promote one another to success...

I am dedicated to surronding myself with others that are virtuous, empathetic, and diverse networkers as well as creating a personal network of caring friends and associates; a closely knit network where future and current leaders meet, learn, share, and promote each other in success. We have a very small group called Middle Tennessee Idealist and I just wanted to drop by today to introduce myself and encourage you to visit us at: http://www.idealist.org/en/userprofile/111550-166

At MTIN we love encouraging others: With caring, mentoring, sharing, networking and promoting each other towards success every person can play an important role in his or her community --- whether you're a corporate executive who wants to sponsor a program, a foundation executive who can establish quality standards and provide critical funding, a public official who can push for mentor friendly policies and funding, a community member who wants to support social change, or even a stay at home mom who just wants to contribute to the community so that her children will grow up in a well balanced society. It matters not what your social status is if you truly want to be a Community Leader. All that is needed is a true sense of commitment to contribute to the greater good in your community.

As a committed leader or someone whom would like to commit to being a leader, you have a unique opportunity to bring the power of community to your neighbors, friends, children and others in your community, state and across the country. If you are willing to network and share your ideas, in a effort to help one another to become the Best Leaders in your communities; Please Feel Encouraged to Contact Us Today. You have important things to say!! Middle Tennessee and the world at large needs to hear your ideas! :-) We look forward to Networking with you!

To your success-God Bless,

Marilyn A. Magallanes
