I've Learned...

Lessons Learned:
I've learned .. that the best classroom in the world is at the feet of a person older than me.

I've learned .. that when you're in love, it shows.

I've learned .. that just one person saying to me, "You've made my day!" makes my day.

I've learned .. that I feel better about myself when I make others feel better about themselves.

I've learned .. that having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.

I've learned .. that what we have done for ourselves alone dies with us. What we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.

I've learned .. that one sincere apology is worth more than all the roses money can buy.

I've learned .. that words harshly spoken are as difficult to retrieve as feathers in a gale.

I've learned .. that being kind is more important than being right.

I've learned .. that you should never say no to a gift from a child.

I've learned .. that I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in some other way.

I've learned .. that no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

I've learned .. that sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold, an ear to listen or a heart to understand.

I've learned .. that simple walks with my father on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

I've learned .. that life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned .. that we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.

I've learned .. that money doesn't buy class.

I've learned .. that it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

I've learned .. that once a relationship is over, if you experienced more smiles than tears, then it wasn't a waste of time.

I've learned .. that under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

I've learned .. never to humiliate another person. Always give him an honorable way to back down or out of something and still save face.

I've learned .. that the Lord didn't do it all in one day. What makes me think I can?

I've learned .. that if you are still talking about what you did yesterday, you haven't done much today.

I've learned .. that to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I've learned .. that when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

I've learned .. that you view other people's children in a whole different light when you have some of your own.

I've learned .. that the older I get, the smarter my parents become.

I've learned .. that I will continue to learn and grow for the rest of my life...

When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean living," I'm whispering" I was lost... I'm found and forgiven"

When I say... "I'm a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble often and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I'm a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I am weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say... "I'm a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed aContinue

Middle Tennessee Idealist Network

Hello Nashville Idealist!

My name is Marilyn Magallanes and I am a huge believer in Networking to help promote one another to success...

I am dedicated to surronding myself with others that are virtuous, empathetic, and diverse networkers as well as creating a personal network of caring friends and associates; a closely knit network where future and current leaders meet, learn, share, and promote each other in success. We have a very small group called Middle Tennessee Idealist and I just wanted to drop by today to introduce myself and encourage you to visit us at: http://www.idealist.org/en/userprofile/111550-166

At MTIN we love encouraging others: With caring, mentoring, sharing, networking and promoting each other towards success every person can play an important role in his or her community --- whether you're a corporate executive who wants to sponsor a program, a foundation executive who can establish quality standards and provide critical funding, a public official who can push for mentor friendly policies and funding, a community member who wants to support social change, or even a stay at home mom who just wants to contribute to the community so that her children will grow up in a well balanced society. It matters not what your social status is if you truly want to be a Community Leader. All that is needed is a true sense of commitment to contribute to the greater good in your community.

As a committed leader or someone whom would like to commit to being a leader, you have a unique opportunity to bring the power of community to your neighbors, friends, children and others in your community, state and across the country. If you are willing to network and share your ideas, in a effort to help one another to become the Best Leaders in your communities; Please Feel Encouraged to Contact Us Today. You have important things to say!! Middle Tennessee and the world at large needs to hear your ideas! :-) We look forward to Networking with you!

To your success-God Bless,

Marilyn A. Magallanes
